Metamorphosing, transmogrifying, transubstantiating. Working as slowly as ever. Things will redirect when the time is right.
I suppose in honor of the new year, here’s a poem about changes that’s in no way a critique of anything.
Edit: Now link works.
I wrote a nice little spooky story in honor of this wonderful time of the year. Enjoy.
The final two scores for this set are online in the music section. Now to get back to this story…
I decided to score out my songs and while it has been fun it’s also been quite time consuming. Since I don’t know when I’m going to finish the other two (especially Sirens), I decided it would be best to put what I have up now, if only so it no longer lingers in the depths of my hard drive, and to add the others when I finish them off. Everything can be found in the music section, next to their respective songs.
I’ve also added a new category to Music called “Miscellanea”, which will house all the stuff I may or may not do that is, at that particular moment, unsorted. Currently the only thing in there is the score for an étude called Étude in Cm. I wrote the song a while ago, and then when scoring it decided to sneak something new in, and as a result I have been unable to provide a recording, nor do I particularly care to at the moment, so the pianists who wish to play around can do so, and everyone else can wait.
Also, I’m now in New York on a hopefully permanent basis, so that should be fun too (once I get my piano shipped).
I have a list of stories, some long, some short, influenced to a degree by my formative years, that I like to work on to break up the time when working on longer, more complex projects. Though the subject matter isn’t exactly novel, it’s fun, and cathartic, so I’ll keep working through them as the impulse hits me. It’s also fun to not worry about revision. I’ll clean things up if I ever compile them, but for now everything gets to be raw and flawed and fun. This latest one is called Escape From Assembly. Its subject matter should be obvious.
